As your sanity deteriorates, your eyesight blurs and becomes wavy, and you become more difficult to move about, as if you’re intoxicated. In the game, sanity is reflected by how clear your eyesight is and how simple it is to manage you. The longer you remain in gloomy places with no light, the more your sanity will deteriorate.
