It depends on what you want your hero ship to do and your preferred playing style. You will either get NPCs who will attack some of your pursuers, or you will get friendly players spawning in who see you are in trouble and should help you out. One final point, if you are being chased, run towards one of your team's spawn points. I use her as a decoy to lure the enemy away from whatever objective they are attacking. This ability is what makes Rey tough, when it is active, it regenerates her health and makes the Falcon almost impervious to damage. Also buff the star cards that buff her Auxiliary Power ability.
You can dog fight with her, but don't go to point blank range with enemy fighters, try and keep them at medium to long range so you have time to run if you need to. Hence I only use her on maps like D'qar, Kamino (edited) or Endor where this is not as much of a problem (though on Endor you have a lot more debris to worry about). Her Falcon has the weakest weapons of the lot. With Rey's Falcon you have to use her differently. I have a mate who is a proverbial wizard flying the Falcon, he loves flying in and around the shield generator tunnel on Fondor and runs pursuing enemies into walls because they are trying too hard to catch him. On Fondor fly in and out of the shield tunnels, on Ryloth, be prepared to fly underneath the Battleship so you can regen health. Don't fly in the open where you can be easily spotted. To keep them alive, you need some help from your team, and also need to take advantaged of any debris or obstacles. I find them very useful on Fondor and Ryloth for those reasons. Han's and Lando's Falcons are great for attacking the objectives. Hence the first thing to know is that if you take any of them (even Rey's) you are going to be like an switched on light which is going to attract moths, so you need your team mates (or at least one) to fly guard for you to scratch your proverbial back of enemies who get behind you. Also people who do take it out, often do it flying alone, and then complain about it being crap when it gets blown out from underneath them by the enemy.
It is slower and less maneuverable than the base craft. Problem is the Falcon is not really designed for dog fighting. The problem people make when they take the Millennium Falcon quite often is they want to go dog fighting with it. (though this one is very map specific in terms of tips)Īlso this thread has some good info about hero Ships, recommended star card set ups and the like hwihc you may find of use - Īlso I posted this in another thread about the Millennium Falcon and using it. I've repeated this post in a few places, but I will admit it saves me re-typing -įor those wanting some tips on playing Starfighter Assault, might I recommend you have a read of my posts in the following threads.
